This blog is designed to publicize news, events and project updates from The Albert M. Greenfield Digital Center for the History of Women’s Education. Posts are generally written by project team members, student workers or volunteers. When posts are guest posts from those outside these categories, all opinions remain those of the authors and do not necessary reflect the thoughts or opinions of members of The Albert M. Greenfield Digital Center for the History of Women’s Education.
We are very happy to welcome contributors to the Educating Women blog. If you are interested in contributing a post, please adhere to the following editorial guidelines as you craft your entries:
- The blog is designed to support conversation around issues related to the history of women’s education, including reflections on contemporary issues related to women in education today. This is a strictly academic endeavor and we will not post any content that has a commercial “plug” – these will be removed by the editorial team.
- All authors are given credit for their post and if you would like anything specifically included in the post (e.g.your institution’s name, your email, website, personal blog or Twitter handle etc)
- We recommend the following as a guide:
- 300-600 words per post
- The first sentence needs to grab reader’s attention
- Use short paragraphs
- Break up information with bullets and lists where appropriate
- Provide hyperlinks to relevant material and make sure they work!
- If you would like to include your own photo with your post, please include a written release that you own all rights to the photography
- If you think there is a particular photo that you think would best compliment a post, please include a description of it when you submit your content and we will search for an image that meets your request.
Once submitted, all blog entries are subject to review by the The Albert M. Greenfield Digital Center for the History of Women’s Education and we may suggest minor edits before the blog is made public.
